STATEMENT-DENOUNCEMENT FROM ANARCHISTS IN GREECE

STATEMENT-DENOUNCEMENT
On Tuesday June 7th in Thessaloniki, Greece, and right after a demonstration of solidarity with immigrant Zulkuf Murat Bora (Bahoz), who is on hunger strike since 17/5, asking for political asylum, members of the group “Antiauthoritarian Move/Movement” attacked a comrade, and specifically A.M., member of that group, grabbed our comrade by the neck threatening him “I will kill you, wanna get in trouble?”
It is not the first time that members of this group act as bullyboys. The reason for this particular attack was some insurrectionist slogans shouted by demonstrators. So, according to members of “Antiauthoritarian Move/ment” specific comrades were considered… guilty and “dissidents”. It seems after all that some slogans are rather disliked by those who are in cooperation with media and political parties.
Having their familiar attitude, showing their inability to speak against what is incontrollable for them; they threatened not only our comrade, but also others who reacted (reaching to the point to threaten even the life and physical integrity of the comrades!!!)
CONSIDERING THAT these miserable attitudes cannot be hidden under the signature “antiauthoritarian”,
CONSIDERING THAT social struggles are nobody’s property and manor,
CONSIDERING THAT the development of social liberation processes in Thessaloniki, especially after the mobilizations against the Thessaloniki Summit of terrorists and criminals of European Union in June 2003, the result of which some people couldn’t manipulate, is something that can e barely accepted,
CONSIDERING THAT our dignity, ethics and consciousness as anarchists would never let us silence some people that fight for freedom just because we don’t agree,
AND CONSIDERING THAT keeping this incident “secret” would be good only for those who want to oppress the struggles for freedom
WE DENOUNCE THE BULLYBOY BEHAVIOR OF THE “ANTIAUTHORITARIAN” A.M., MEMBER OF THE GROUP “ANTIAUTHORITARIAN MOVE/MENT”,
AT THE DEMONSTRATION OF 7/6,
AND WE RESERVE EVERY RIGHT TO REPLY
WHEREVER, HOWEVER AND WHENEVER WE JUDGE SO…
