Radical musicians make folk music a threat again in the East Oxford Community Centre 13/06/05 from 7pm 'til late.

Radical folk singers, Riot Folk, are currently touring.

Established in the States in 2004 - they've been raisin' musical hell in the US and are heading over to Europe in the run-up to the G8.

They are descending upon Oxford on Monday the 13th June in the East Oxford Community Centre (from 7pm-ish onward) to help raise a bit of cash for G8 shenanigans.

In their own words:
“Riot-Folk! is an anti-profit, collectively run record label from the United States hellbent on Making Folk a Threat Again! We are committed to principles of social justice, peace, direct democracy and anti-oppression. We write and sing songs that reflect our beliefs and our involvement in the movement. We don't just sing about it, we're part of it...”

Also, a few more acts are still needed for the night, so if you fancy performing drop an email to gaiabomb (at) riseup.net :)

Come along and see how music can be used as a weapon for change!
