Come and join us at a new EDO protest at their sub-assembly building at Church Road Industrial Estate. Meet at the Red Lion Car Park at 2pm next Saturday the 11th of June where we will surround the building.

Bring some noise.

Alternative wednesday protest!

In regards to Wednesdays protest.

Hi since about 10 Edo protestors are now banned from entering Home farm road and the injunction also prevents us from standing around the entrance to Lewes road, some of us have a new place to protest.

If you are one of the people who fit into this category then please come to the area of the BP garage at the bottom of Bear road where a protest will occur in tandem with the other protest which is outside Edo.

Look out for the banner, a good number of Edo workers pass this way as well as thousands of commuters, so we will be a powerful forms of advertising for the campaign and for protest.

i've spoken to a couple of anti-edo people and no-one's heard of this. looks like disinfo to me. The national demo is gonna be big - even the argus (local paper) was saying something like 'huge demo looms'. C ya at the national!

Time Indymedia UK impliment optional email validation or user registration

There are far to many people pretending o be somebody else and causing missinformation and distrust. Indymedia should take some responsibilty for the situation and create some means by which readers can have confidence that a poster is who they say they are.

Some other indymedia sites have an email confirmation facility. This means that if somebody claims their email address is

georgebush@whitehouse.com then they will need to actally e ale to eply to a confirmation email sent to that address before the email address is displayed as being validated.

Other sites provide users with the option to register a username/nickname which then can only be used by the people with the correct password for that username.

There have been several times over the last year when somebody has deliberatly either posted false information as if they were speaking for a campaign group - OR claimed that a post bey a campaign group was infact the work of an imposter.

Indymedia needs to provide facilities to help restore reader confidence.

Have spoken to injunctees and they don't know anything about this so-called alternative demo.

Doesn't make sense for people focussing on THE BIG ONE to dilute it by calling a secondary action later in the day - so, unless it anything is actually confirmed on the smashEDO website, then it is not genuine.

So, please check any story on the newswire by going to the website.
