What about people who work at Faslane? Are you going to deny them the right to work for the day just so that you can have your protest? People have a right to go into work too!

In typical style the pompous activist community of the world has ignored the effects that banning slavery has had on slave owners. Many are now forced to pay their workers wages and grant them leave, all of which has had a massive impact on their once plentiful consumption of champagne and foie gras pate.

When will activists learn to think about their effect on others?

About £50 a second is spent on Trident equal to £1.5 thousand million a year...

You could spend that money on virtually any other service or industry in the world and create far more jobs that Faslane does...

Look at Greenock (less than ten miles away from Faslane) at the same time as £ten thousand million was spent rebuilding Faslane for Trident the government refused to spend one penny to save the ship-building industries based there...and decimated all the communities on the Upper Clyde putting tens of thousands on the dole...the best defended dole queues in the world!!!

faslane peace camp has not closed at all. it is about to have 23rd birthday celebrations on saturday 11th of june. the faslaneg8 website and organisation is SEPARATE from the peacecamp which is also not responsible for organising the SCND/ Trident ploughares blockades there, although we do support their cause the methodology is very different.
