Disgusted | 01.06.2005 14:00 | DSEi 2005 | Anti-militarism | London

Ken Livingstone has given a speeach to Arms dealers where he pledged support for DSEi

Is there no end to this man's treachery and his sell out of the working class ?

On the GLA website  http://www.london.gov.uk/mediacentre/all_releases_list.jsp?searchfrom=mayor

a Press Release was quietly released concerning Ken's support for DSEi which he calls a,
"... vital part of the London scene... and a boost to UK manufacturing".

...and he wants to push a motorway through east london...

Also he has done a massive u-turn by being the biggest cheerleader for the 'Thames Gateway Bridge', a scheme he had previously said 'you would have to bury me in the first block of concrete'. This motorway would push 20 million vehicles a year past people's homes in east london, and is being vigerously oppossed. Come to the demo outside the Public Inquiry on 7th June at Charlton Athletic football ground. See www.nobridge.org.uk

Hi,
Please could you give a more exact location for the original press release. I've looked and I can't find it on the page you specified.

DESTROY DSEi
DESTROY THE ARMS TRADE

Destroy Dsei

NO SURPRISE THERE THEN

That Livingstone should support the arms trade is no surprise at all--other than that some people seem surprised.

Also, if it seems that a press release saying so no longer exists, it is entirely within the MO of this hypocritical chameleon to have simply erased it.

He isn't really a 'traitor', he's always been a nasally whining low-life egotist, who when it was fashionable postured as an anti-capitalist, but in reality believes in nothing & nobody but self-advancement for himself and his corrupt cronies.

Hanging the creature really would be a misuse of good rope--but do mobilise against his projects as and when tactically relevant.
