As we approach one year since the death of President Ronald Reagan it is worth looking back on all he did for the world.

The world when he came to power was very different to the one we have now. Half of Europe living under Communism (inlcuding my own country) and the West seeing the desire of that "Evil Empire" to spread further. Reagan was the man who changed that, a new world was possible he saw and he used the power of America, its economic as well as Military power to enable that change.

And so now, the world - in Prague, in Budapest, in Warsaw, in Sofia, in Bucharest, in Kiev and in Moscow itself - looks back to mourn the passing of the Great Liberator and echoes his prayer 'God Bless America'.

Ronald Reagan
“Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears; to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty’s lamp guiding your steps and opportunity’s arm steadying your way.”
