Gilbert Achcar is a Lebanese socialist who teaches at the University of Paris and is active in the French anti-war movement. Gilbert is author of a number of books on the
Middle East and on international politics more generallly, in
particular `The Clash of Barbarisms' (Monthly Review Press). He will be speaking on `The Middle East and the Project for the New American Century'. We hope it will be an interesting meeting and will provoke a lively discussion
