FFS! (Fit For Struggle)

Squatticus | 11.05.2005 11:59 | G8 2005 | Health | Social Struggles

Would you like to be a bit fitter, and improve your endurance and alertness in the anti-capitalist struggle?

Could you sometimes do with a bit of gentle peer pressure from like minded people, to get you training, and be able to support them in the same way?

If so, Fit for Struggle maybe for you…

Fit for Struggle (FFS) is an initiative to help people share experience, encouragement, and advice on improving fitness levels. We want to help you find training partners at your level and with a compatible schedule. We will meet three-weekly for a fitness test (so we can monitor our improvement!), and plan other activities in between (an anti-cap 5-a-side league? an orienteering event?).

First event:
Fitness test consisting of a 1.5 mile brisk walk in fourteen minutes, followed by 1.5 miles in your own best time.

Meet:
Hulme Park, corner of Clarendon St and Jackson Crescent, 6.30pm, Weds 18 May.

Wear:
Jogging kit.
