The blockade will start early Monday morning, around 6:30 -7.00 a.m
There will be a meeting about the blockade in the Newbury Friends Meeting House, 1 Highfield Avenue (Click here for map) on Sunday 8 May from 5pm onwards. Those who wish to stay there overnight are welcome to do so.

non-violence and its violent consequences

One concern I have though. Block the Builders is requiring people to conform to an explicitly non-violent strategy/ideology for the purposes of this protest. Many activists, myself included, dislike this strategy - see Bill Meyers' brilliant article on the subject, "Non-Violence and its Violent Consequences", at
What would you suggest for those who want to take part in the blockade but have disagreements with the nonviolence ideology? one idea would be to have an "autonomous blockade" of a specific entrance to the base for those who don't feel comfortable elsewhere - how would BtB feel about this?
