Indymedia shut down

lupa anubis | 04.05.2005 13:32 | Repression | World

Following the pubblication through one of Indys Forums of some manipulated photographs of the pope Benedetto XVI dressed like a nazi, the site has been shut down by the order of a judge.

The new pope all dressed up in nazi gear being presented to the world in a manipulated photograph and published by an extreme-left political oriented forum with direct links to Indymedia Italia has been deemed lesive to the person of the pope and to the prestige of the catholic religion too, the prank seems to have costed the (hopefully) temporarily closure of the site , to accomplish this act of repression the italian authorities are seeking an international warrant from the ministry of "justice" against the organization Indymedia refers to, IMC in Brasil.
