Videoclip showing visible aggrevation between police and protestors following an arrest made at Highbury and Islington station.

Mayday 2005: Protestors and police wait for the Hackney bound train at Highbury and Islington station. This 40 second video clip shows the immediate aftermath of a confusing and questionable arrest made on the station platform, and marked the first of many police/protestor confrontations of the day.

Sorry but...

Heya,

Two things...firstly, not sure if its just me but when I click the link nothing happens? Is this just me or does it just not work properly?

Secondly, are you sure it was actually an arrest? I was in the station and I thought that although one person was singled out and warned during the ruckus, they werent actually nicked? Or was someone else that I didnt see nicked?

Cheers, (A)

Not sure, why the link isn't working for you....

I assumed it was an arrest as I believe that's what everyone was saying at the time, however, you could well be right - it was quite a confusing moment.

Arrest?

I think the guy in the video clip wasn't actually arrested, just hassled and assualted by the thugs in uniform. But possibly someone else at the back of the group was nicked as everyone boarded the train?
