Yvonne Ridley endorses Craig Murray as campaign snowballs

Blackburn's Daisyfield community centre was full to capacity as award-winning journalist Yvonne Ridley declared her support for antiwar Independent Craig Murray on monday. Hundreds listened outside as Yvonne, a prominent critic of the Iraq war and Respect candidate in Leicester, spoke movingly about her time as a Taliban hostage in Afghanistan and her decision to convert to Islam.

Since Monday's meeting, a steady stream of new volunteers have joined the campaign. Thousands are expected to attend this Saturday's National Demonstration against Jack Straw in Blackburn.
