Alternative votes in Liverpool might increase turnout

Garston

David Oatley, Workers' Revolutionary Party

Riverside

Peter Cranie, Green Party
Beth Marshall, Socialist Labour

Walton

Daniel Wood, Liberal Party

Wavertree

Paul Filby, Democratic Socialist Alliance
Gary Theys, Socialist Labour

West Derby

Steve Radford, Liberal Party
Kai Andersen, Socialist Labour

All of the above parties took an entirely anti-war position on Iraq, although you might also want to look at individual candidate positions from the big three.

Wavertree looks the most interesting of the contests, with the Lib Dems in with an outside chance of unseating Jane Kennedy.
