David Rovics concert in Cambridge

manos repost | 20.04.2005 23:06 | Culture | Cambridge

David Rovics will sing at CB2, Norfolk Street, Cambridge on Friday June 10th

His repertoire includes songs about Palestine and Iraq.

~SDavid Rovics is a guy George W. Bush would probably like to clamp in
chains at Guantanamo Bay ~V the last American protest singer (or so it
seems) ... In these days of ongoing neo-conservatism he carries the torch
of dissent and protest ~V in fact if the great Phil Ochs were to come back
from the dead tonight he~Rd probably be hailed as the new David Rovics.~T
Andy Kershaw

David will perform alongside Attila The Stockbroker

Sharp-tongued, high energy, social surrealist rebel poet and songwriter.
His themes are topical, his words hard-hitting, his politics unashamedly
radical, but Attila will make you roar with laughter as well as seethe with
anger ...
