Oxford Action Resource Centre (OARC) Launch Week 25th April -1st May

The Oxford Action Resource centre (OARC) is to be launched with a week of exciting events from Monday 25th April to Sunday 1st May. The more people that come along the more sucessful the week and the space will be - so please come along, bring your friends and spread the word!


The OARC is situated upstairs in Room 1 of the East Oxford Community Centre (EOCC), which is located on Princes St off Cowley Road.

Highlights of the open week include:

Monday 25th April - 7-9 Community Meal - Come and enjoy delicous vegetarian food in good company. (A small donation of £2 would be appreciated if you can afford it - please come earlier if you would like to help to cook / prepare)

Tuesday 26th April - Indymedia Film Screening of "They Lived" and "Bush in Ireland" 9-11pm.

Thursday 28th April - G8 Information Special - Come and find out about the G8 - coming to Scotland in July. Featuring: T.R.A.P.E.S.E.G8 Education Roadshow 5-7pm, Evening meal 7-8pm and Schnews on Tour Roadshow 8-1OPM.

Other events planned for the week include:
Tuesday 26th April: Drop-in Session 4-6pm and Introduction to indymedia 6.30pm.
Wednesday 27th April: Drop in session 12-6pm, Tea and Cakes 2-4pm and introduction to the library 4-6pm.
Friday 29th April: Drop in session 5-8pm
Saturday 30th April: Video Activist Workshop 2-6pm, local radio workshop 6-8pm and Undercurrents workshop - how to do a film screening 8-10pm.
Sunday 1st May: 8pm Hacklab - DIY Technology.
