With the elections looming and the usual spin and counter-spin boring the socks off most people, it would be easy to forget just how important the choices we face are. War with Iran, continued endorsement of torture, imprisonment without trial and subservience to the Washington neocons - Blair does indeed provide an attractive package.

One clear and independent voice challenging the above vision is Craig Murray, former UK ambassador, now standing against Jack Straw in Blackburn on May 5th. A small but growing group of people in London has banded together to support his campaign in various ways and we will also be travelling up to Blackburn on weekends before the election to provide help.
