RALLY FOR PALESTINE

2:30 to 4 pm, Saturday, 16th April
Victoria Square (outside the Council House) Birmingham

There is a myth circulating in the media that a just peace is getting closer in Palestine and the Middle East. Yet Israel continues to:

• Build its apartheid separation wall, destroying homes and agricultural land in the process
• Build settlements in the West Bank
• Kill and maim innocent Palestinians
• Keep thousands of Palestinian political prisoners in jail
• Harass Palestinians daily with roadblocks and checkpoints throughout the West Bank and Gaza
• Refuse to negotiate on a just solution with elected representatives of the Palestinians
• Refuse to accept responsibility for the millions of Palestinian refugees who became refugees as a result of the creation of Israel and subsequent wars.

Palestinians need your support now more than ever. Join the rally for Palestine in Birmingham on 16th April and help improve the prospects for a genuine peace in the Middle East. Such a peace is a fundamental requirement for stability and peace in the world.

Ask your MP and all the candidates in the coming general election where they stand on how to bring about a just and genuine peace in Palestine and whether they are in favour of putting more pressure on Israel to end its illegal and brutal occupation.
