Bristol - G8 briefing papers

Info4Action | 07.04.2005 22:33 | G8 2005 | Analysis | Globalisation

Bristol G8 Dissent! Group has produced a series of 7 G8-related briefing papers. These are intended to stimulate debate & discussion amongst readers, they do not imply a specific adopted policy position by the group, indeed the initial motivation to produce them came from a desire to inform & discuss amongst ourselves.

You can currently find text versions on the Bristol Indymedia newswire & front page (see  http://bristol.indymedia.org). A paper version of all 7 will be available at this Saturday’s G8 ‘Info for Action’ event at the Malcolm X centre, in St Pauls, Bristol, and thereafter from the Bristol Group. We hope to have them fully on-line shortly, either on the national Dissent website (www.dissent.org.uk) or elsewhere. Alternatively, you can request a PDF version by email from  bristol_g8workshops@riseup.net

These are the 7 papers:
1. The G8 – an introduction
2. The G8 – economics & power
3. IMF/WB/WTO
4. PFI (privatisation)
5. African debt & poverty
6. Climate change
7. Sustainable development

Don’t just get angry...get even!
