Postal voting will end discrimination against dead & fictitious voters - Reid

tantalum | 06.04.2005 10:30

Speaking on this morning's "Today" programme, John Reid defended postal voting on the basis that "only" 6 people had so far been convicted of (massive) electoral fraud through abusing a system which a high court judge has describe "wide open to fraud".

Reid's assertion that there is "no evidence" of widespread abuse seems reminiscent of the Thatcher government's insistence that there was "no evidence" of a link between BSE and CJD. You don't find evidence unless you look for it.

Explains the silence...

This probably explains the government silence on the recent rigged elections in Zimbabwe. Probably planning to use Mugabe's ballot-stuffing tactics to ensure a third term.

Stuff Blair and all his sycophantic arse-kissers.
