Noam Chomsky in Edinburgh

Recording of the Gifford Lecture that Noam Chomsky gave at Edinburgh University on 22 March 2005. The lecture, entitled Illegal but Legitimate: a Dubious Doctrine for the Times, was given at McEwan Hall in memory of the late Edward Said.
The phrase "illegal but legitimate" is taken from the report of the International Independent Commission on Kosovo, which held that the NATO bombing was "legitimate" while recognizing it to be in violation of internation law.
