The 3 hour workshop is a practical introduction to taking non-violent direct action, including different techniques, ways of supporting each other and staying safe, dealing with confrontation and arrest, as well as roleplaying an action. Taking part in this workshop will help you to prepare for non-violent direct action and protest at the G8 and elsewhere.

PRACTICAL DETAILS:
The workshop will take place in an unheated marque, so please bring warm comfortable clothing. If you are coming from further afield, it is advisable to arrive the night before. Camping space is available.

The workshop itself is free, but we're asking people to make a donation towards the Festival of Dissent, who are providing us with the workshop space.
