Hereford and Worcester Swan Aid desperately needs your help

Dear All,

The Swan Rescue service - Hereford and Worcester Swan Aid -desperately needs your help.

We have been involved in the rescue of some 70+ swans already since the beginning of 2005, and have carried out over 100 spot checks on pairs and flocks of swans to check for unreported injuries and to feed mixed corn to avoid starvation.

We currently have a vets bill of £300+ and rising for swans which have received much needed treatment and operations for this month alone. This has included treatment for swans that have had broken wings, lead poisoning, fishing tackle injuries and shooting incicents my mindless thugs.
Once this bill has been paid we simply have no further funds to continue to operate on a full time basis. If this is the case then it is only the swans that will have to suffer further.

If you can spare just a few pounds to help keep the rescue service going, then it would be greatly appreciated. Any donations of bric-a-brac etc would also be greatly accepted. Anybody who is also able to become a volunteer on collection days or organise car boot sales etc then please contact us.

Please make cheques payable to "Worcester Swan Aid" and send them to the postal address:
