The other Greece, the Greece of movements, say no in the war
Common call for 19 March.
Thousands Greeks participated in the anti-war concentration in the 19-3-2005, in the frames of World Day of Action at the war, with the reason of completion of 2 years from the start of war in Irak.
In the concentration gave common present the Ecologists Greece, the Greek Ecologists Without Borders-GEWB, and the Naturalist and Social Movement "Link of People", which participated in the blocks of Coalition Stop the War.
The Ecologists Greece have 3 blocks and the Greek Ecologists Without Borders-GEWB 1 big banner, in which central signs it was: "No in the war, the genocides and the disaster. Yes in the peace and the justice ".
The artistic banner of Greek Ecologists Without Borders-GEWB, that portrayed a little girl that is killed and shouts no in the genocides, pulled the looks of journalists and a lot of channels took interview from members of organisation.
At there, members of Ecologists Greece had made hats that wrote "Yes in the peace" which were shared in all the concentration, as also and the call of Coalition.
Also, we are very happy and pride, for the presence of homeless 80 years ecologist fighter, two immigrants, and woman with from Irak, all members of Ecologists Greece and active fighters.
After the concentration, Ioanna Melidoni, architect and representative of Ecologists Greece, transmitted the correspondence of demonstration from the TV station Telelight with plans from the concentration and presented emission with subject: "oil-war-oil economy causes wars", with the pointing out of future wars for oil, water, natural resources.
Also, members of Ecologists Greece and Greek Ecologists Without Borders, and before and afterwards the concentration, done from the channel anti-war calls and correspondences, as well as anti-war campaigns with distribution of calls of Coalition and common anti-war ecological call, and participated in local events of Coalition.
We call therefore that afterwards the 19 March, the anti-war movement should strengthen more:
- We say no in the war, the violence, the militarism, and the new world race of equipment and nuclear arms. Fight for peace-disarmament-not violence. Participate in boycotting the products of multinationals companies of war and each anti-war initiative.
- We say no in the oil-economy, the consumptionism and way of life, which leads to autarchism and wars. No other blood for oil.
- No in the new race of nuclear that becomes because it finishes oil.
- We unite our voice with the anti-war movement of Turkey and all Balkans and call in common fight for Balkans of peace and ecology.
- In the globalisation of wars, destruction, and unfairness, we answer with globalisation of resistance, with aid of movements.
The humans, the life, the health, and the environment, above the profits, the oil, the development.
