this is happening now!!!

on the run up to todays London demonstration, police have closed the m4 to single lane and are randomly stopping people for police checks about 30 miles outside of London. If you have friends coming from the south, please call them and let them know.

This is totaly ficticious. I drove up the M4 today and there is no police activity beyond the one routine patrol car I saw

This might be Operation Mermaid - aimed at unsafe vehicles and drivers hours offences. The choice of a motorway location is unusual though.
