UK HOSTS IAEA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NUCLEAR SECURITY
The UK government is today hosting the IAEA's International Conference on Nuclear Security: Global Directions for the Future as part of its G8 presidency year. The conference is taking place at the Mermaid Conference and Events Centre in Blackfriars, London and will be opened tomorrow by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Dr Mohammed ElBaradei and Foreign Office Minister Baroness Symons. In her opening address Baroness Symons will announce a further UK contribution to the IAEA's Nuclear Security Fund of £350,000.
