OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN
IN SUPPORT OF THE WEA MARGARET SANDERS BRANCH

As well as an opportunity to hear about the work of the Margaret Sanders Branch (chair Gill Warland will speak, and students from the recent Black Women's History course will present their work), the evening will be opened by Prof. Fallaize, speaking about her experiences as first woman member of governing body at St John's College. Speakers from the worlds of literature (Jenny Lewis, Oxford based poet and tutor of creative writing), science (Liz Whitelegg, senior lecturer and director of research, Science Education, Open University) and education (Teresa Munby, tutor, Ruskin College).

Following the talks, there will be a chance for informal discussion and a glass of wine!

ABOUT THE BRANCH
The WEA Margaret Sanders Branch was formed 20 years ago and has since been providing courses for women in Oxford. The branch aims to increase the power and self-confidence of working class women by providing opportunities for women, particularly those at some kind of economic, educational or social disadvantage.

All money raised will go to the work of the WEA Margaret Sanders Branch.
