By seeking to secure sanctions and calling for boycotts of Israeli goods - you are seeking to ensure that Jewish people are denied kosher food.
Many times throughout the ages, oppressors have sought to ensure that we are unable to practice our religion.
We are still here - we always overcome.
However have you really considered the dire consequenses of what you are seeking to do.
Stop anti-semitism
Well let's do it properly

> I'll be sorry to miss you, but if you are doing it - do it
properly. >Let me help you.
Check all your medications.
Make sure that you do not have tablets, drops, lotions, etc.,
made
by Abic or Teva. It may mean that you will suffer from colds and flu this
winter but, hey, that's a small price for you to pay in your campaign
against Israel, isn't it?
While we are on the subject of your Israeli boycott, and the
medical contributions to the world made by Israeli doctors and
scientists,
how about telling your pals to boycott the following.....
An Israeli company has developed a simple blood test that distinguishes between mild and more severe cases of Multiple Sclerosis. So,! if
you know anyone suffering from MS, tell them to ignore the Israeli patent
that may, more accurately, diagnose their symptoms.
An Israeli-made device helps restore the use of paralysed hands.
This device electrically stimulates the hand muscles, providing hope
to millions of stroke sufferers and victims of spinal injuries. If you wish
to remove this hope of a better quality of life to these people, go ahead
and boycott Israel.
Young children with breathing problems will soon be sleeping more
soundly, thanks to a new Israeli device called the Child Hood. This
innovation replaces the inhalation mask with an improved drug delivery
system that provides relief for child and parent. Please tell anxious mothers
that they shouldn't use this device because of your passionate cause.
These are just a few examples of how people have benefitted
medically from the Israeli know-how you wish to block.
Boycotts often affect research. A new research center in Israel
hopes to throw light on brain disorders such as depression and Alzheimer's disease.
The Joseph Sangol Neuroscience Center in the Sheba Medical Center
at Tel HaShomer Hospital aims to bring thousands of scientists and
doctors to focus on brain research.
A researcher at Israel's Ben Gurion University has succeeded in creating
human monoclonal antibodies which can neutralise the highly
contageous smallpox virus without inducing the dangerous side effects of the exisiting vaccine.
Two Israelis received the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Doctors
Ciechanover and Hershko's research and discovery of one of the
human >cells most important cyclical processes will lead the way to DNA
repair, control of newly produced proteins, and immune defense systems.
The Movement Disorder Surgery program at Israel's Hadassah
Medical Center has successfully eliminated the physical manifestations of
Parkinson's disease in a select group of p! atients with a deep brain
stimulation technique.
For women who undergo hysterectomies each year for the treatment
of >uterine fibroids, the development in Israel of the ExAblate 2000 System
is a welcome breakthrough, offering a non-invasive alternative to
surgery. Israel is developing a nose drop that will provide a five year
flu
vaccine.
A whole ovary removed from a sheep, frozen and defrosted by Israeli scientists has for the first time maintained its potential for pregnancy, offering hope of fertility to young women who undergo chemotherapy for cancer, which usually destroys the fast-dividing ova.
The researchers - Dr. Ariel Revel of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem at the head; with Dr. Ami El-Ami of Hadassah's cardiothoracic surgery department and Dr. Amir Arav of the Volcani Institute for Agricultural Research - published details of their achievement in the latest issue of the prestigious journal Fertility and Sterility. It also received prizes from the Israel and American Fertility Societies.
The team believe that success in preserving whole human ovaries will be even more successful. Until now, scientists have managed successfully to freeze and defrost only tissues and cells from animal and human ovaries, but not whole organs.
But the Israeli team's achievements make it possible for cryobiologists (experts in freezing biological material) to work on whole, large and vital organs.
The number of teenage girls and young women who undergo chemotherapy for cancer is increasing, but a side effect is losing fertility. Thus the ability to preserve the ability of ovaries to produce viable ova after chemotherapy has been a focus of much research.
So far, three techniques have been available: Freezing young embryos (which is the solution for most women); freezing whole ova (which can be problematic because they can lose their viability after being defrosted); and freezing slices of ovaries.
The first two techniques require giving hormonal therapy and removing ova over a period of days - which could cause a dilemma if the cancer treatment must begin urgently to save the woman's life. the third technique requires removing the ovary surgically, cutting it into thin slices frozen in liquid nitrogen, and after chemotherapy ends, reattaching the pieces in her body. This is a long process that may cause, among other things, the loss of many ova.
Preserving a whole ovary, said Revel, "opens new avenues in preserving the fertility of women undergoing chemotherapy and also for organ transplantation.
The $100,000 Wolf Prize in Medicine will be awarded on May 22 to three distinguished scientists – an Israeli, an American and a Canadian. The prize, to be shared by Profs. Alexander Levitzki of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Anthony Hunter of the Salk Institute in California and Anthony Pawson of Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, will be awarded at a Knesset ceremony.
For the past five decades, medical scientists have worked intensively to learn how different kinds of cancers arise so that new drugs can be developed to combat these cancers. Hunter and Pawson have explained how a basic mechanism for transmitting information can break down and lead to malignancy. The third winner of the prize, Levitzki, has created drugs that block the disrupted signaling route, thus preventing the development of some cancers. By targeting cancer cells specifically, without damaging normal cells, the unpleasant side effects associated with traditional chemotherapy and radiotherapy are avoided.
British-born Hunter, 61, is recognized for the discovery of protein kinases that phosphorylate tyrosine residues in proteins, critical for the regulation of a wide variety of cellular events, including malignant transformation. Fellow of the Royal Society of London and foreign associate of the US National Academy of Sciences, he received his PhD from the University of Cambridge and has been with the Salk Institute since 1971.
Pawson, 52, is cited for his discovery of protein domains essential for mediating protein-protein interactions in cellular signaling pathways, and the insights this research has provided into cancer. Born in the UK, Pawson received his BA in biochemistry from Cambridge and his doctorate in molecular biology from London University in 1976. In 1981 he moved to the University of British Columbia and since 1985 has been a senior researcher at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Levitzki, 64, is recognized for pioneering signal transduction therapy and for developing tyrosine kinase inhibitors as effective agents against cancer and a range of other diseases. He demonstrated that such an inhibitor to Bcr-Abl kinase induces death of chronic myeloid leukemia cells.
This is now being used with great success in the therapy of cancer patients.
Born in Israel, he received his doctorate in biochemistry and biophysics from the Hebrew University and the Weizmann Institute of Science. In 1976, he became a biochemistry professor at the Hebrew University. He has also been a visiting scientist at the US National Cancer Institute and is a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Now lets see one Arab country who has offered a tenth of what Israel offers to the world in terms of these wonderful medical and scientific breakthroughs.
So as well as boycotting kosher food - lets stop the medicine and science.
And lets see which other country in the middle east has full rights for homosexuals, for women, for other religions; lets see who has the highest literacy rate for Arabs in teh middle east - oh yes Israel.
But you hate Israel because we are supposedly more evil than Rwanda, Sudan, Iran; worse than the Taleban were, worse than Saddam who killed 100,000 kurds, worse than Saudi with public executions, worse than Iran where you will be stoned to death if you are gay or if you have an affair.
So carry on - but rememeber to boycott it all (starting with your PC and mobile)
Stop Israelis from helping the world
Kofi Annan - Commencement Speech at Harvard University
15.03.2005 01:25
"...We must not allow anti-Semitism to disguise itself as a reaction to Israeli government policies — any more than we should allow all questioning of those policies to be silenced with accusations of anti-Semitism. ..."
http://www.commencement.harvard.edu/annan.html
Every time anyone questions or disagrees with what Israel is doing, Zionists will always use the Anti-Semitism line!
It's amazing, Zionists say the Israel should be critised or question, but when people do, they are labeled instantly by them as "anti semites" or "racists". So it is quite clear to see that Zionist are complete hypocrites!
So, to the Zionist that read this, I ask you! Is Kofi Annan a racist???
Anon...
Criticism is okay
15.03.2005 09:21
The only democracy in the middle east is Israel.
As my friend above pointed out, the human rights records of countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, DRC, Burma etc are appalling and yet the majority of criticism is thrown towards Israel, who, for all her faults has a human rights record well above and beyond many other states.
And yet Israel is placed under a microscope when sluaghters in countries such as Sudan or Tibet are largely ignored.
The UN produces a human rights report each year. Israel is teh only country with a whole chapter dedicated to it. That is unfair and biased; especially when 1.2 million Tibettans have died under Chinese occupation and they receive far less attention and coverage and adverse resolutions from the UN.
That crosses the line and is anti semitic. Keep it proportional and it is democratic. Which are you?
Also Anon, will you be boycotting all those products listed above. Would you deny your children, if they needed it, vital life saving, pain killing or diagnostic treatmemt simply because the drugs or processes were developed and produced in Israel.
You cannot cherry pick what you will be boycotting - will you be doing it properly?
but your obsession is anti semitic
Why? Do you force you politics on you children?
22.03.2005 23:40
Therefore if they choose NOT to boycott Israel Goods, i wouldn't stop them have productes from Israel that could save their lives!!!
So do you force your politics on your children?
Anon...
No i do not
23.03.2005 12:24
Anyway - will you be calling for a boycott of all Israeli goods - including the medicines and scientific advances? Effectively denying choice to those who really need it?
AM YISHRAEL CHAI
How about not having a sterotyped, racist view of people!
25.03.2005 17:43
do you really believe that ALL Palestinians/Arab want their children to become suicide bombers? If you do, they you are sterotyping/ being prejudical to every single Palestinian in that way, and making the "..to the terrorists who bring up children to want to be suicide bombers. .." comment, is discrimately, as you are acting prejudicistes towards Palestinians/Arab. That too is racist!
To put is simply AM YISHRAEL CHAI (i know that is not you name btw), YOU ARE A RACIST!
anon....
You are twisting words Anon
29.03.2005 08:46
I made no such suggestion and would never infer that all Palestinians and Arabs are terrorists as it is simply not true
So remember that it was you that made this connection and not me.
More disturbingly is the way in which you twisted my words. I said Terrorist - you said Palestinian and then called ME a racist.
Twisting of words was a typical trick used by the Nazi party, David Irving, Nick Griffin etc.
And you never answered the question I asked in the previous post.

Plus when your talking about what is happening in the middle east, and in particular the situation between Palestine and Israel, it's pretty easy to interpret what people are talking about with "terrorist" remarks!
Then again, George W. Bush is a terrorist. Does he want his children to be Suicide Bombers? nope. And when people talk about "Suicide Bombers", and "Terrorists", who do you think they are talking about in this society where there is so much sterotyping???

I hope that in the event that you are struck down with cancer, ms, or heart disease and are offered the chance to live by using jewish (whoops - Israeli) drugs and medical procedures, you will stick to your guns and refuse treatment.

Feelings that come to mind. I have just ready some of the petty bickering, and some valid points in this argument.
However I think that most people have missed the point. SO much anti Isreal rhetoric is based on lies. Sorry Anon, but no other way to put it. Anyone who states "99% of kosher food is from Israel so lets boycott kosher food" is an idiot who is just parroting propaganda given to them by another liar. (and before you start saying that I am talking nonsense please come to my kosher food shop and I will show you the origin of all of the products that we have in stock!). So basically to say that is either blatant ignorance (therefore get of the arguement and start to learn the truth) or a blatant attack on Jews.
Just remember it was Goebels who said "If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth" I urge everyone of you to look beyond what you know and find out all the facts, a half truth is as good as a full lie!
I am assuming that it is based on ignorance as i would never infer that someone is antisemitic without meeting them and hearing their viewpoint properly.
The shop is called Titanics and is on Waterloo road, Cheetham Hill Manchester if anyone wants to either pop in and see that not everything you here is true!.
We do proudly sell Israeli produce, while not everything that Israel does is right, and certain policies I personnally disagree with, it is the only country in the middle east with a fully elected democratic government. I base my decision on full knowledge not hysterical made up fantasy! So if you want to boycott me thats fine as well
