no offence, but...

i am assuming that this fundraiser is to help subsidise the M19 march in London. So, how come it is an explicitly anti-war gig? Isn't the protest meant to be an over-arching anti war/racism/poverty/capitalism one?

maybe we should get priorities straight instead of whipping the dead horse of purist anti-war rhetoric and link it to more meaningful concepts that are inextricably linked to wars.

just a thought.

still, i'll be going down anyway.

I did not even know?

I did not even know that it was anything other than an anti-war demo until today. I totally agree that the way it has been promoted has both been misleading and may turn people off. Many people, though myself not included, think that protesting about the Iraq war is pointless now, if it had been billed better nationally and in Liverpool more people might come down

That band JuJu Spider. They were phenomenal last time I saw them.

The way they played, I can't believe they would playing at this anti-war thing. They looked like they loved violence. They thrash their instruments like wayward children and the drums sound like blitzkrieg. Vocals are a siren's wail calling all to arms or else to shelter.

They're sure to let slip those dogs of war...
