G8 Direct Action Trainers Workshop
Glasgow, 18-20 February 2005

People who want to provide training for activists taking direct action against
the G8 met in Glasgow this weekend. The new trainers learnt and shared skills
useful for providing training to others. Topics included:
the role trainers play in making sure people plan safe and effective actions
learning facilitation and meeting skills
how to plan and run direct action workshops
how people lear
what makes an interesting and participative workshop
direct action training tools
a space to share ideas and skills with other activists
discussing how we can support each other in giving direct action training
workshops before and at the G8 summit
