In February, trials against squatters of the Harkortstrasse in Hamburg (action took place in September 2003) continue meanwhile new trials open against squatters of the Hafenstrasse - action from April 2004, where around 100 trucks and other vehicles blockaded the Hafenstrasse.

background

Both times people were directly at the same day evicted and arrested without compromises of the police. Vehicles were destroyed, people were treatened very rude.
The context of the actions is solidarity with the threatened trailerparks in hamburg, which the senat wants to evict and do not want to renew contracts for.

3 Years ago there were 9 trailerparks in hamburg existing, now 4 of them were already evicted and the evictions of the other are planned in the timeframe of the next 2 years.

The trials

The prosecutors of hamburg senat demand a lot of money for breaking in someones property (harkortstrasse, against 84 people ) and for forcing the traffic because of the street blockade (hafenstrasse against around 50 people).
The antirepression group against harkortstrassen trials is working for longer than a year now and a few trials are in the 2nd instance, but the judges were mostly clear against the political message of the action and supported the point of view from the prosecutors.
The punishments the prosecutors set up are for each person 200 up to 1000 euros.

Now the trials for the action from last year are starting. The punishment they try to stress the activists with are 1000 up to 1500 euro per person, so it seems they just raise up the bills to break our resistance against evictions and repression.

The struggle is continuing, we face more and more repression for any activity but there is no live without hope, la lucha continua!
