Failing to select a veteran Peace activist to stand for KCC elections demonstrates the shittiness of local politics

Last night, Dover Constituency Labour Party demonstrated how clueless it is by not selecting a local Peace activist to stand as candidate for KCC elections in May, in spite of the fact that by any objective analysis she would be considered by far the best of the bunch.

Instead, the current incumbents were reselected, in spite of their poor attendance at Cunty Hall and their willingness to be "old New Labour socialist" stooges.

The vote demonstrated the division within the local Party. Pam Brivio got 9 votes, Keith Sansum 11, and Bill Newman 15. What an utter disgrace and indictment of New Labour. Pam has worked tirelessly locally on peace and justice issues, and is rewarded by this kick in the teeth. What a clueless bunch of tossers these people are. I hope they lose!
