There will be a National Day of Action on Feb. 18. in protest at the government's attempts to destroy public sector pensions. Here are some details on what's planned in Oxford.



Health workers, education and local government workers will call a lunchtime march and rally in Oxford on February 18. The details are:

Assemble at 12.30pm
February 18
Carfax/Cornmarket Street. There will be speakers from different groups of workers affected by attacks on pensions

Depart at 1pm
The march will go past local government offices to Gloucester Green where it is hoped a national trade union speaker will address the demonstrators.

A TUC stewards' training session is planned for the afternoon in Oxford Town Hall. A meeting will also be sought with former pensions minister Andrew Smith, MP for Oxford East.

The next meeting of the Oxford and District Trades Union Council (O&DTUC) Public Sector Campaign Group will be at 6pm on 1 February in Oxford Town Hall.
