Bovis are trying to knock down a wild area in Cardiff to build more luxury homes and wipe out a colony of slow worms. Grangetown residents have their first campaign meeting.
Bovis are attempting to build a load of luxury homes on ferry rd, Grangetown on the wildlife preserve opposite the retail park. They are intending to knock down the trees (with preservation orders) to build more yuppie flats. This area also has one of the few colonies of slow worms in the area – Bovis says they’ll re-house them.
Tonight was the first residents meeting to try and stop the plans. 50 residents from South Clive St. attended the meeting in Channel View flats and they are starting a campaign to disrupt the plans. Anybody interested in joining in please get in touch so that we can build the biggest possible campaign.
