René Seren(Sheffieldlive Community Radio) | 23.01.2005 11:17 | G8 2005 | Indymedia | Sheffield

Tsunami Disaster - a FREE concert presented by René Seren with Sheffield bands: Bhuna,Tarana & Duplex Blues and others to raise funds to give urgent help to the suffering children in our small world today.
UNICEF will accept donations.

This huge tsunami disaster would probably not have received such extensive worldwide publicity if so many thousands of lives in several countries in Europe had not been affected. That is why it has become a "global issue".
Can you imagine if the suffering was only confined to the affected continents only?
Perhaps this disaster will teach us to think globally as well as to act globally. We are all dependent upon each other.Ignore this fact at our peril.
Children suffer the most. They suffer appaling deprivation.Lack of food, shelter and do not know what love means.
Please support this FREE concert to raise essential funds."UNICEF" will attend to accept any donations.Local Sheffield artists : Bhuna, Tarana & Duplex Blues + others are performing at:
The Lantern Theatre, Kenwood Park Road,Nether Edge,Sheffield on SATURDAY 5th FEBRUARY comencing at 7 p.m
Be there to show solidarity for those OUR children.Thank you.
