Anyway, Im a little confused as to what you are referring to?

...There are 100's of autonomous direct action groups around the UK who make up the Dissent! Network (against the G8). This is the more radical mobilisation (as opposed to the G8-Alternatives and Make Poverty History etc etc).

Now, did you mean the Dissent! Networks next monthly gathering or did you mean info about what actually is happening in July for the G8 Summit?

Or did you mean the Direct Action Trainers Workshops which are happening accross the country and aim to train people to train others in Direct Action tactics etc?

Well info regarding the next Dissent! gathering and the Direct Action Trainers stuff is available off the Dissent! website which is www.dissent.org.uk. The next gathering is 12/13th February in Glasgow.

As for info about what is actually happening in Scotland in July, thats still been discussed UK and Europe wide, though there are some concrete ideas coming together, some of these can be found on the Dissent website, look for the documents section and then download the minutes from the last gathering (Newcastle).

Your based in Southend yeh? My geography sucks but if thats anywhere near Worthing or Brighton there are local anti-G8 groups there. Go to the local groups section of the dissent website and you will see contact details for all the local groups, including these and ours in Reading.

Firstly, Indymedia is site for reporting on direct action not to organise it.
Though these two things do feed into each other.

This post would have been more suited to one of various web forums for political organising there is.

But there is not much to go on in you post, but I might guess from fact you selected London but not Scotland and G8 that you wish to take some direct action around the G8 in London.

But if you mean to be in Scotland, there will probably be various meeting points for various direct actions.

A Silver group will be meeting in Dollar to go via Hills. More maybe meet in Bridge of Allan. Others maybe in Perth.

Others are meeting on Monday before G8 at Faslane.

And I am sure many plans will emerge. Get a map and good broken in walking boots etc.
