Brighton Dissent! are a part of the Dissent! Network (www.dissent.org.uk) organising radical resistance to the 2005 G8 Summit to be held in the UK. The group have, so far, been involved in organising actions against a meeting of members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), members of the US Treasury and heads of business and industry in nearby Steyning. We have also been organising regular fundraising events, transport to the bi-monthly UK-wide Dissent! gatherings and getting active in Dissent! Working Groups (from the International Networking Group to the Publicity Group and the Festival of Dissent! planned for May 2005).

We are planning more fundraising, to produce propaganda and - of course - to take more action. Members of the group will be travelling to the Resist G8 South East Assembly on 22nd January in London (2pm-6pm, Room 3D, University London Union (ULU), Malet Street, London WC1).
