The trial of 6 people that took part in the 21/6/2003 demonstration against the EU Summit, was adjourned for October 2005
The trial of 6 participants in the the 21/6/2003 demonstration against the EU Summit, was not finally held yesterday January 13th, at 10am in the 2nd Three-Member Crown Court of Thessaloniki, contrary to what had been previously scheduled. The court accepted the request of the legal team defense, to adjourn the trial, as the Spanish defendant, Carlos Martinez, was unable to travel from Spain, where he is, in order to attend the trial. The new date of the trial will be 10th of October 2005
It is being reminded that this trial concerns 5 Greek demonstrators and one Spanish, accused for outstanding riot and illegal weapons possesion. Another 9 demostrators' cases will face further investigation, while a commital for trial is pending.
