Women attacked with wooden pole by fox hunt supporter in Sussex
Posted on Arkangel Saturday, January 08, 2005

Four women protesting against the Crawley and Horsham Hunt today (8 January)
near Thakeham in West Sussex have been seriously injured after a hunt
supporter attacked them with a wooden pole.

15 hunt saboteurs in total had attended the hunt to save foxes using hunting
horns and harmless scent dulling sprays. The back window of one of their
cars was smashed in and 4 women were seriously injured by a hunt supporter
with a wooden pole. All the saboteurs present were threatened. One of the
saboteurs has received a broken arm. Another has a suspected broken elbow.

One of the saboteurs, Jaine, said "He just went mental. First he was
throwing a bucket full of liquid at us and then he started attacking us. He
even drove after us to smash the back window of the car"

Police and ambulance crews have attended the scene and the injured saboteurs
are being attended by paramedics. A man has been arrested by police.

The government imposes vindicate, ill thought out legislation designed to divert attention from the real issues affecting the British people, such as the illeagal war in Iraq, the crisis in Health funding, the lack of Teachers, Social Control through the widespread use of ABSOs and as a result a large number of working class people will lose their livelehoods, their homes and the future.

Wouldn't you fight back at those ill-informed idiots who supported it ?

Why is support for Hunting growing ?

09.01.2005 20:40

Record crowds of over 300,000 people attended more than 300 Boxing Day meets across the country in a huge show of support and solidarity for hunting. Why is this ?
Hunts up and down the country have seen a massive response to an open invitation for everyone to show their support.

Of particular concern is the number of children who are starting hunting.

In Scotland there are now more people hunting and more foxes being killed than before the ban. As things stand at the moment we can expect the same situation in England and Wales when the ban comes into force here.

"Wouldn't you fight back at those ill-informed idiots who supported it?"

So because a law is coming in to prevent people from tearing foxes apart for the fun of it, hunters should feel free to beat up peaceful women with sticks, leaving them with broken bones? Do you have any idea how moronic you sound? Do you really think that we should all hospitalise people who disagree with us?

Also, you seem to be implying that these hunters are annoyed not because their sadistic fun is to be ended, but because the government is focusing attention away from "more important" issues. What a stupid thing to say. Hunters are not selfess activists; they are people who spend their free time chasing our wildlife around the country. Most of them couldn't give a shit about human suffering - just look at the violence they show towards peaceful sabs! All they care about is their own fun.
