The Antarctic I think would be implicated too as a lot of the ice melted there is resting on land.. there were quakes south of Oz just prior.. (and these were linked in a note I read to (US?) testing sonar devices there, for oil exploration, whale beachings follow.

So the Arctic plate is getting millions of tons lighter at a rate that far exceeds losses by normal alluvial erosion, and this loss is dispersed globally as meltwater.........
