What you should look for on your hard drive that may well be hidden: "clamxav"

You may not know it but your computer could have this software installed on it by someone who wanted to index your hard drive if you are an activist.

I resently did a check on my computers hard drive after finding something that gave me the information I to run a check to see where the software was located. It was hidden and could not bee seen and yes it is antivirus software but it also ndexes your hard drive to try an trap you if you happen to an activist who speaks up about bush/co.

You should look for this application "clamxav," an if you happen to find it you'd better try removing as soon as possible. Or any other antivirus software you did not install yourself.

Nonsense

ClamXAv is a Mac OS X port of the free open source Clam Anti-virus software:

 http://www.clamav.net/

If there is anything suspicious about it, it will be found in the source, which is readily available.
And when the incoherent poster above does so, s/he will be taken seriously.
But not before.

Evidence?

Do you have any evidence to back this claim up? Clamav is a popular virus detector, originaly written for Linux and is used by a lot of people world-wide. Clamxav appears to be simply a gui frontend for clamav for Apple OS X. It may log which files it scans, but should only store that information on your local disk - which most antivirus software does.
