Glasgow Reshape re-launch!
Come along to start making plans for the G8 coming to Scotland in July 2005.

Glasgow Reshape Film Showing and Discussion

MONO, King's Court, King Street, Glasgow, G1 5RB
(map here: www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=55.8551&lon=-4.247&scale=10000&icon=x )

The G8:
8 “world leaders” and their henchmen. Meeting in Gleneagles Hotel 6-8 July 2005. Like SMERSH without a secret base in a volcano.

The Films:
Will include the “anti-authoritarians’ reconnaissance video” (Scotsman) shot at Gleneagles in March this year. Notorious!
Plus! The Cheeky Girls campaigning against climate change. Scandalous!

Glasgow Reshape:
 reshape-glasgow@riseup.net
Help to organise the most exciting gathering of opposition to the business as usual and the sick system in recent times!

We invite everybody who is favourable to our aims.
Who are we?
Reshape:
- is a local group
- broad anti G8
- come together to oppose the G8 summit
- visionary
- part of Dissent! www.dissent.org.uk network
- is dynamic, modern, exciting, fun, and happening.

Glasgow Reshape will work with anyone prepared to abide with the People's Global Action hallmarks:
1. A very clear rejection of capitalism, imperialism and feudalism; all trade agreements, institutions and governments that promote destructive globalisation.
2. We reject all forms and systems of domination and discrimination including, but not limited to, patriarchy, racism and religious fundamentalism of all creeds.
We embrace the full dignity of all human beings.
3. A confrontational attitude, since we do not think that lobbying can have a major impact in such biased and undemocratic organisations, in which transnational capital is the only real policy-maker;
4. A call to direct action and civil disobedience, support for social movements' struggles, advocating forms of resistance which maximize respect for life and oppressed peoples' rights, as well as the construction of local alternatives to global capitalism.
5. An organisational philosophy based on decentralisation and autonomy.
