The Swansea meeting called to discuss support for the people of Palestine was a great success with around 120 packing the Gloucester Room in the Guildhall to hear Dr Khaled Gharayeb talk about the appalling health conditions faced by ordinary Poalestinians in the occupied territories.John Drake a firefighter and FBU activist talked about his recent visit to Nablus as past of a Respect delegation and called for more grassroots solidarity while John Rose explained the roots of the oppression of the Palestinian people.Dee Murphy of the Swansea Palestine community link project introduced a short film about an Israeli attack on the Balata refugee camp. There was plenty of time given over to debate and discussion. The meeting was organised by the Respect Coalition in Swansea.
