I was emailed this by the ISM (Internationalk Solidarity Movement - international peace activists working in human rights in Palestine, for those that don't know), and thought as many people should know about it as possible.
A project in France for a "Caravan For Peace" which will leave
France in July 2005 and travel through all the european countries to
go to Jerusalem.
This is a call for all the european people who support Palestine to
join this Caravan.
Some ISM french members will take part in this Caravan.
Would you accept to support also this project.
There will be a preparing meeting on november 20th and 21th in
Villeurbanne (France)
to organize the project.

Message from Caravan For Peace
Hello to everybody
This is a call for an international action for the respect of rights
and dignity. Especialy for Palestine, right and dignity are violated
with the complicity of all governments around the world. The
resistance of the Palestinian population calls the international
civil society.
The aim of this Caravan :
The members of the caravan for Palestine frame their action in the
values and objectives of the Universal Declaration of the Human
Rights and of the European Convention of Human Rights.
They have in common the wish to realize the project for which the
association has been created : to form a caravan of motorised
vehicles, coming from Europa (probably from France) and going to
Palestine to substain the Palestinian people, who are resisting
a non-human and illegal occupation. We have to ask for the respect
and application of the international right for all, and the respect
of the right to go and come for each one.
This caravan will probably leave during the month of july 2005. All
the people whowant to join us are welcome in the respect of the
Caravan Charter.
How to help :
From now till the starting of the caravan, any kind of help is
welcome and usefull, It could be to forward this mail to people
interested in this project, or act now in the project by bringing
your ideas for the travel, actions that could be done
during the trip, translations of some texts of the web site, driving
a car, helping the driver, making film or pictures of the
project,... making necessary contacts with medias (press, radio,
TV,...) which will follow the caravan.
Linked to this mail you will find the Call and the Charter of this
association (only in french for the moment) which offer you the
possibility to substain this action.
