Photos of children in Iraq

As a teacher, I am opposed to the war on Iraq. When I see the photos of children harmed and killed by our soldiers all I can do is cry. I see my own children - the students in my classroom in the children of Iraq. As a teacher, I must oppose the war in Iraq and do what I can to stop children from being killed and from killing.

Why such an emphasis on children? All deaths in war are tragic. We rarely here the reports or images of all the elderly who die in wars. Animals also suffer greatly too.

For peace,

Because my work is with children

I totally agree that all deaths in war are terrible. And I too agree that it is a mistake to emphasize children's deaths over the deaths of others.

So in answer to the question "why children?" - I am teacher and my site is about early childhood education. I focus on children because that is my work.

Thanks for the comment.
