A battle far from over

Henry | 17.11.2004 20:10

There are those here who claim the battle for a Hunting ban is over. Far from it.

This battle is far, far from over. The Countryside Alliance is well funded, organised and politicaly powerful. The Conservative Party is commited to overturning the ban if they win the next election and anyway everybody seems to be forgetting we have an excellent indicator of what will happen if a ban comes into effect - Scotland.

Post ban in Scotland

Number of Hunts that no longer meet - zero

Number of prosecutions for Hunting - zero

Number of people hunting on a regular basis - up 194 (source The Scotsman- based on registered riders)

Number of people joining the Scotting division of the Countryside Alliance since the ban - up by 3420 !

If you want to know the truth about Hunting visit a Hunt - there are those that don't want you to go, why is that ?
