A US marine has sparked world-wide revulsion after being seen shooting an injured and helpless Iraqi.

The sickening scene was broadcast by Channel 4 News after a fire-fight in the rebel stronghold of Fallujah.

The trigger-happy soldier had been asked to get nearer to the injured man.

But instead of trying to capture him, the marine is seen leaning over a wall and cold-bloodedly shooting him.

He then turns to his colleagues and says: "He's gone". Coalition chiefs were last night under pressure to investigate the incident.

Labour left-winger Jeremy Corbyn said: "This execution will be remembered by the Iraqi people for generations.

"What does this say about the tactics being used by those who are supposed to be the forces of democracy? We want an immediate investigation."

Channel 4 News viewers flooded the station's web-site with complaints. One said: This was against all civilised norms and law."

Isolated Incident????

Fucking hell - does anybody actually htink this is isolated military behaviour just because of lack of independent media coverage????? Hmmm. Let's see. Take 1 redneck. Give him a uniform and a gun and let him and his mates loose in a country you ( the corporate fascist ) are occupying. Oh dear he seems to have shot someone. OOh must have been a terrorist/self defence/lokked funny/had table leg/doing it for your safety/our boys under pressure/ etc etc etc.puke.

But....what i found interesting about this story was the way it unfolded on the web.
I was browsing MSNBC when i noticed this new video about the shooting. It was raw footage It started with the marines at the door and entering the mosque and then the action takes place and the segment ended with blurred footage, not showing the shooter. About a half hour later the same link led to the same footage but it now had an intro voice over and explained about the troopers movements. Since it had changed i decided to check it every hour or so. Well about an hour later the same link led to a 4 minute piece with talking head intro and voice over and ends with an interview of the photographer. Another hour and another spin now the four minutes is taken up with the talking head and the voice over and the footage and the still of the shooter and then some explanations of how difficult it all is by some military generals and then the fact that the shooter had been shot himself the day before. I havent checked it lately but i believe it will probably have been massaged into justifiable homicide by now.
