Lancaster Protest: Hands Off Fallujah!

About 30 people gathered in Lancaster at very short notice to protest against the imperialist military assault on Fallujah. The protest took place on armistice / war remembrance day (11th Nov). The protesters held up banners saying: "Hands Off Fallujah: Troops Out Now!" and "No more Blood for Oil!"
We got good support from passers by. There is enormous anger at the assault on Fallujah. All around the country there have been protests. It is clear that the US/UK imperialism will not bring democracy to Iraq. Democracy grows from below, it is nevcer imposed from above. It must be hoped that with time, the protests can grow into a mass movement against the occupation. Our aim should be to build a massive wave of direct action to force a UK withdrawl from Iraq.
