Radical Reading Group @ Maelstrom

Maelstrom is Leeds' squatted infoshop, located at the old Post Office on Hyde Park Corner (Leeds). After three successful weeks of talks, discussions and more, we are putting on some regular as well as irregular events.
On Tuesdays from 7.30pm we plan to have a reading group. What we will read is yet to be discussed, though it will be some form of anarchist/radical literature, either a book or a pamphlet.
We think that it’s important to arm ourselves with ideas and analysis of this multifaceted system of domination. One of the best ways we can think of to do that is to meet face to face and discuss our ideas, aspirations and desires. To help this along we wish to read the thories of others, but this isn’t some attempt to recreate the dead hand of academia within a squatted setting. We wish to inform our actions as well as develop and deepen our critique of power.
