An italian bank has been targetted by the "pirate paint" group, as a solidarity-action towards Indymedia, against the seizure of its hard-disks. This is a press-release claiming responsability for the action.
Translation from french to english of an article that can be found on http://paris.indymedia.org/article.php3?id_article=27582 (published on 2004/10/25, signed by "the pirate paint"):
On October 7th 2004, the FBI seized some Indymedia hard-disks that were hosted by Rackspace in Great Britain. Such an ultra-fast and undebatable procedure was probably led by anti-terrorist laws that come to be particularly handy, don't they? Now, how to answer that?
Who's hiding behing this seizure, that's nothing but authoritarian? To put an end to the mysterious "Informal Anarchist Federation", the italian state tries to know Indymedia logs referring to IAF press releases.
Just like all states do, the Italian state gathers an incredible amount of power. It reinforces itself year by year, thanks to a number of precious capitalist structures. Among these are banks, whithin which stands the oldest in the world: Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena.
This concentration of power and the way it imposes itself can't lead us to anything but an intense class war. In the night between Saturday 23th and Sunday 24th, October 2004, we hit the French-Italian Monte-Paschi bank, located 15 boulevard Gambetta in Grenoble, with a demi-dozen of... paint-bombs.
But if authorities keep on showing us that democracy in which we live is nothing but a lie, we will be forced to make our revolt even more concrete.
Every day to go makes us understand we are in a dead-end.
