Press Release: GP Conference .. Pension Crisis Could Be Solved By Government Death From Waste Policy.

Incineration seriously damages public health, Leading Toxicologist claims.

The governments policy of incinerating radioactive and toxic wastes is
resulting in the deaths of literally tens of thousands every year, a
government recognised toxicologist and incinerator expert revealed.

Speaking at the Green Party conference in Weston Super-Mare, Dr Van Steenis
and Michael Ryan, a civil engineer who lost both his mother and son from
leukaemia and a daughter to cot death.

They have spent many years examining the effects of incineration on the
population,

Mr Ryan, presented official government data on public health, for incinerators around the country, together with a detailed examination of the existing Colnbrook 1 Ton Per Hr Clinical Radioactive and Hazardous waste Incinerator.

The site beside Heathrow Airport is where Grundon’s plan to build 2 huge incinerators in the near future, One of which will be the second largest in Europe, the largest is destined to live in Kent. The data showed alarming and continuing rise in mortality, cancers, birth Defects, heart and lung disease and pregnancy failures in the vicinity of incinerator sites.

(see data for Hillingdon below.)

Dr VS said that studies of the St Nikalas incinerator in
Belgium over a twenty year period have proved that life expectancy of people living
in a twenty mile radius of an incineration plant decreases by an average
of twelve years. This research is corroborated by other world-wide studies.

In Britain these incinerators, sited by government policy in already
Polluted, densely populated areas. The evidence to say they pose a direct threat to the public health is overwhelming, particularly to the health of the young and unborn.

Children are particularly vulnerable to the effects of particulates, very small toxic particles, the smaller the particle the more deadly they are. The world health organisations say particulates are one of the modern worlds biggest health threats.

In Belgium, said Dr Van Steenis, we were seeing life expectancies in areas
close to incinerators slashed to as little as sixty-three for men and fifty-nine
for women. The good news is that, with the government refusing to recognise
that this pattern is repeating itself in British cities, we can stop
worrying about the pensions crisis.

Minimising the public health dangers of incineration is just one of a
number
of deceptive strategies employed by those who profit from the governments
failure to address the consequence of its waste policies. says Hugo
Charlton,
chairman of the Green Party and human rights lawyer. Others include
manipulating
legal advice to intimidate local authorities on planning issues.

Green party spokespeople are forceful in their condemnation of this lethal
policy. The Green Party is the only party with a clear anti-incineration
policy.

Darren Johnson, Green Party London Assembly Member said: Incineration is
terrible; its wrong, and leads to a deadly cocktail of pollutants which
are toxic and lethal to human life.

Miriam Kennett: Green Party trade and industry spokesperson added: as a
parent, protecting the health of our children and future generations is
the most important thing we can do. Putting corporate profit before public
health is a recipe for disaster, for the UK to have a healthy economy we
first need to have a healthy workforce.

Jean Lambert, MEP, commented: The only real solution is not to create waste
in the first place, and to take the EEC packaging directive and corporate,
not just community recycling seriously.

Dr Derek Wall, Green Party Executive member said “the information and
Statistics on my local incinerator in Colnbrook were terrifying, this is live data
produced from official government statistics”
“As an economist, I can only say waste policy, which could lead to the public purse funding the care of a chronically sick population is madness”

Expect a lot more radioactive waste if the car industry ( led by the General Motors and American Electric ) has its way.

The 'Kyoto Casino' capitalists are advocating nuclear energy to provide the power for all these clean hydrogen cars so that We the 'consumer' can go on as 'normal'. The only genuine and ethical route is to consume less. This means radical social change and not jobs for jobs sake. e.g. car industry, service industry etc.

Problem here, the powers that be, UK/US states inc Whitehall/MI5 MI6 the IMF/World Bank etc and their media and education propaganda cronies are moving us further into fascism - though in my opinion we are already there and have been for some time.

What is to be done? Well we can sit on our arses until it is too late arguing over good protestor bad protestor ( parallels with Nazi Germany and a whole lot of other places before and since where people have been bought off ). After all the UK has had a nasty foreign and internal policy ( with serious black prop and murder )for years and years and we see no signs of change. Old Labour = New Labour etc. kerry = Bush etc. Wilson = Blair.

We are in a truly global Gangsters Paradise. Party politics ain't going to help you
( including the Greens and their bought in suits ).

I appreciate your frustrations with the wrong's of the world, however doing and saying nothing will help no-one. OK the green party has less power and influence than the big parties, and we all wear eat and utilise products produced in our consumer society.

We all know that in the global world corporate profit is king, sustainability and moral responsibility the surfs. Whether we chose to or not we fuel the self-destruction algorithm on a daily basis in order to survive.

However doing nothing is certain to bring about our demise. Democracy is something we have fought long and hard for. When Britain’s companies built their empire and turned the globe into a commonwealth resource, we did not have democracy, women had no right to vote.

The things we valued most about our society, our freedom., the welfare state these came because of democracy. The people who fought for this democracy were not the elite, who for centuries had used the poor as little more than disposable resources. No, they were what used to be known in the days of prosperities and readily available work, The Working Class. We The People.

Green may not be your favourite flavour politics, but, it is your right to chose, however if we do use democracy it cannot work for us and if we are not very careful soon it will be gone.

... the 20th century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: The growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy.
Australian social scientist, quoted by Noam Chomsky in World Orders Old and New
